Gelateria Cremilla in Rome with workshop in full view

Gelateria Cremilla is located in a very central area of Rome, in front of St Peter's Basilica.
The element that most characterises the environment is undoubtedly the large central counter in the shape of a horseshoe, around which the entire activity of the ice cream parlour revolves. The central island is in fact both an operating area and a reception point.

The counter is equipped with wells and tubs for ice cream and parfaits, covered with a shaped work surface in white Carrara marble. The glass counter is finished with iron profiles that give it more structure and a retro look.

The space between the 2 load-bearing columns clad in exposed concrete has been used to house a steel structure with oak shelves to hold trays, take-away cups and a menu of ice cream flavours.

Three refrigerated display cabinets for displaying single portions and ice cream cakes, a series of oak tables (equipped with a socket for charging devices), benches and stools placed around the perimeter to welcome customers complete the furnishings.

The framed cladding of the counter is also repeated in the panelling that lines the walls of the venue, creating a harmonious ambience with a slightly vintage touch. The atmosphere is made even warmer and more hospitable by the choice of neutral, delicate colours and the use of natural materials such as oak or parquet wood.
